Upwork plus + why isn’t the fee range listed?

Understanding Upwork Plus and Fee Structures

Upwork Plus Overview

Upwork Plus is a premium subscription plan for freelancers. The subscription comes with several benefits, like getting more connects to bid on projects every month, seeing the high and low bid ranges on select project postings, and more visibility with a dedicated profile badge.

Why Fee Range isn’t Listed in Upwork Plus

The reason you don’t see the fee range listed is because Upwork’s fees are the same, whether you are a regular user or an Upwork Plus subscriber. The fee structure is based on your lifetime billings with each client and is not tied to your subscription type.

Fee Breakup:

  • 20% for the first $500 you invoice your client
  • 10% for total billings with your client between $500.01 and $10,000
  • 5% for total billings with your client that exceed $10,000

So, while Upwork Plus does offers benefits like more connects and viewing project’s budget bid range, it does not offer any discounts on the service fee that Upwork takes from your earnings.

Additional Fees For Plus Members

Do note, as an Upwork Plus member, besides the standard Upwork fee structure, you will also be charged $14.99 per month for the plus membership.

Hope this helps answer your question!
