How to view your client profile upwork?
Viewing a Client’s Profile on Upwork
Welcome to Upwork! Let’s learn how to view a client’s profile.
Step-by-step instructions
- Log in to your Upwork account.
- Go to the ‘Find Work’ section. Here, you can see all the job posts relevant to your skills and experience.
- Click on any job post you are interested in. You’ll be directed to a more detailed page about the job post.
- On this page, next to the client’s name there is a link to the ‘Client’s Work History and Feedback’. Click on it.
- You will now be able to see the client’s profile including feedback from other freelancers who have worked with that client, their job posting history, their total spend on Upwork, and other important information that can help you gauge if you want to work with that client.
Benefits of viewing a client’s profile
Viewing a client’s profile before you apply for a job can give you useful insights about the client. It can help you evaluate if the job post is reliable and if it’s worth your time to submit a proposal.
Things to look at:
- Feedback – Look at the reviews and rankings given by other freelancers. This gives you an idea of the working style and the reliability of the client.
- Job Post History – Check how often this client posts jobs on Upwork. If the client posts regularly, they are presumably reliable and pay their freelancers.
- Total Spend – A higher total spend indicates that the client hires freelancers frequently and pays them.
- Reply Rate – This rate indicates how often the client responds to freelancers’ messages and proposals. A high response rate suggests a client who is more likely to engage with freelancers.
We hope this guide helps you in your freelancing journey on Upwork!
