How to see employer rating on upwork?

Viewing an Employer’s Rating on Upwork

The process of viewing an employer’s client rating on Upwork is quite easy and straightforward. This is important because it helps to gauge the employer’s authenticity and reputation before starting a working relationship with them.

Procedure:

Step 1: Visit the Job Post

To see an employer rating on Upwork you first need to visit the job post by the client whose rating you wish to see.

Step 2: Look at the Job Details Section

Under the details section of the job post, you will find the client history. It will show the total number of jobs posted, jobs hired, as well as total spent.

Step 3: Client’s Work History and Feedback

You should click on the “See full job posting” link then continue to scroll down the page until you get to a section labeled “About the client”. Here, you’ll notice a section named as “work history and feedback” or simply “client info”.

Step 4: View the Rating

Under this section, you will be able to view the client’s rating. The rating is shown in terms of a 5-star system, where a higher number of stars represents a higher satisfaction rate from previous freelancers.

Remember:

  • A higher rating generally means that the client is easy to work with and promptly pays for completed work. However, always look at the feedback comments from freelancers too – they sometimes tell a much more in-depth story.
  • Do not solely rely on the client rating. Read the job description carefully and make sure it aligns with your skills and experience.

It is always important to gauge not only the money involved but also the client with whom you are going to work with.
