How To Pay on Upwork

Credit and Debit Cards

Upwork allows freelancers to make payments using Credit and Debit Cards. This applies to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.
Make sure your card is open to international and online transactions.

Paypal

You can also make payments via Paypal. Ensure that your Paypal account is verified and has sufficient balance or is linked to a card or bank account with sufficient funds.

Local Bank Transfer

If you prefer to pay directly from your bank, you can use Upwork’s Local Bank Transfer service. Ensure that your bank supports this service.

Steps to Make a Payment:

• Click the “Pay Now” button on the contract you wish to make a payment for.
• Select your desired payment method.
• Follow the instructions to finalize the transaction.

Please bear in mind that you should only pay through the Upwork platform. Paying outside of Upwork is against the terms of service and could result in account termination.
