How to edit upwork review?
Editing Upwork Review
Overview
As a freelancer on Upwork, managing your reputation is key. Reviews are a big part of that. However, editing a review you’ve received or given isn’t as straightforward as you might think.
Can I edit a review I’ve received?
On Upwork, you cannot directly edit or delete a feedback that you have received from a client. The system is designed this way to preserve the authenticity of reviews. However, there are a few steps you can take to address this issue:
- Respond to the Feedback: This doesn’t change the review but allows you to give your side of the story. Future clients can see both the client’s review and your response.
- Dispute a Feedback: If you believe a review violates Upwork’s feedback policy, you can contact Upwork’s dispute resolution department. The process can be tedious and there’s no guarantee of the outcome.
Can I edit a review I’ve given?
Once you’ve submitted a review, you have a 14-day window to change it. Clients may enable the option to alter this feedback. This is part of Upwork’s two-way feedback system, called double-blind feedback.
- Edit Through Double-Blind Feedback: After your client provides their feedback, you can submit a new set. But remember, this can only be done within the 14-day feedback period.
Always remember to be professional, clear, and fair in all your communication and feedback on Upwork. It helps you maintain a strong reputation and success rate.
