How to delete your Upwork profile

Here is a step-by-step guide to assist you in deleting your Upwork profile.

Step 1: Login

First, log into your account. Be sure to use the correct login credentials to securely access your account.

Step 2: Navigate to Settings

Go to your Profile Settings by finding the Settings tab, typically located at the top right of the screen.

Step 3: Click on Contact Info

Now, click on Contact Info in the submenu under User Settings.

Step 4: Delete Profile

Scroll to the bottom of the page. There, you will see the option “Close my account”. Click on that button to start the process of deleting your profile.

Step 5: Confirm Deletion

You would be asked to confirm your decision as this would mean permanently deleting your account and all associated data. If you’re sure about your choice, click “Confirm Close Account”.

Note:

• Remember, once deleted, you cannot reactivate your account or retrieve any of the data stored in it. Think through your decision before deletion.

• Before deleting your account, make sure you have settled all your financial transactions and completed or discontinued any ongoing jobs.
