How to change feedback on upwork?

Changing Feedback on Upwork

Overview

The feedback system used on the Upwork platform is designed to be fair and transparent to everyone in the community. Once a contract is completed and the feedback is left by the client, freelancers have the opportunity to respond to public feedback left on their contract. It’s important to note, however, that original feedback given, both public and private, cannot be changed or removed.

Responding to Feedback

Steps to Respond

  • Click on “Find Work”.
  • Choose “Profile”.
  • In the “Work History” section, find the contract you want to respond to.
  • Click the “Respond to Feedback” button that appears next to the contract.

Remember, your response will be publicly visible on your profile. It’s critical you compose it in a professional, calm, and courteous manner, despite any negative feedback you might have received.

Enable Feedback Change (Special Condition)

There’s only one scenario where feedback can be changed – through the Feedback Change Request feature. This is available for clients, allowing them to alter their original feedback within a 14-day window, should the freelancer has refunded payment in full. However, this is a rare and exceptional circumstance.

I hope this has provided clarity on Upwork’s feedback system!

Takeaway

Always strive for a positive outcome and great feedback on each contract. However, if things do go awry, responding to feedback professionally can demonstrate your commitment to making things right!
