How to approve upwork account?
Guidelines on Approving your Upwork Account
Finding your footing on Upwork can be a bit challenging at first, especially when trying to get your account approved. To make the process easier, I’ve put together a brief guide to help you get started.
Getting Started – Setting Up Your Profile
Step 1: Begin by filling out your profile completely. Pay careful attention to every section and make sure to highlight your skills, qualifications, and work experience. Your profile photo should be professional, and your overview should be clear and concise yet detailed enough to attract potential clients.
Account Review
Step 2: Once you’ve thoroughly completed your profile, click on the “Submit for Review” button at the bottom of the page. Upwork will then review your account to ensure it meets the highest standards, a process that typically takes 24 hours, although it can be faster.
Passing the Review
Step 3: If your account meets Upwork’s set requirements, you will receive an email notification that your account is approved. If your account is not approved, you will also be notified by email. Don’t be disheartened by this, as you will be given a chance to revise your profile before you resubmit it for review.
Adjustments and Tips
- Ensure your profile is 100% complete. Each field—overview, skills, employment history—provides an opportunity to sell your services
- Choose a skill set that is in high demand but low supply
- Make sure your profile photo is of professional quality
- Your profile title and overview should not be generic, but rather, unique and captivating.
Remember, the key to a successful Upwork account is a well-crafted profile that sells your skills and services in the best light. Good luck!
