Upwork Connects: Monthly Allocation and Usage

Connects Allocation

As a freelancer on Upwork, the number of connects you receive each month can depend on your membership. Here is how this works:

• Free Membership: You get 10 free connects every month. Each job proposal usually requires 1-6 connects.
• Plus Membership: For $14.99 per month, you receive 80 connects, and unused ones roll over to the next month.

Buying Additional Connects

If you run out of connects, you can always buy more. The price is $0.15 per connect.

Winning a Job

When you win a job, you won’t receive any connects back. However, you won’t lose any if the job post is removed for a violation of Upwork’s Terms of Service.

Note

As of now, Upwork no longer offers free connects to freelancers as part of their free membership. However, for those starting out, they do provide 20 free connects as a welcome gesture. Please always keep an eye on Upwork’s official announcements for any changes to the connect system.
