Hello,Uploading your ID on Upwork is a fairly straightforward process. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Settings

  • Log in to your Upwork account
  • Go to the Settings tab on your profile page.
  • Step 2: Access User Settings

  • Under the Settings tab, choose the User Settings
  • Step 3: Initiate ID Verification

  • Look for the Identity Verified section under User Settings. Click on Start Verification.
  • Step 4: Provide necessary details

  • You will be prompted to provide details as per what’s mentioned on your ID. Make sure all details are accurate.
  • Step 5: Upload Your ID

  • After providing your details, you’ll be prompted to upload a clear, readable, colour scan or photo of your official government ID.
  • Ensure your ID is in a JPEG/JPG, GIF, BMP or PNG format, and not exceeding 10MB in size.
  • Step 6: Submit

  • Once your ID has been uploaded and all your details are checked and confirmed, click on Submit to complete the process.
  • After these steps, Upwork will review the submission for its authenticity. This process generally takes a few business days.

    Remember, your ID must be current and valid; expired IDs or other forms of identification won’t be accepted.
