How to Make Your Upwork Profile Private

To ensure the privacy of your work and identity on Upwork, there are certain steps you can take to make your profile private. Here’s how you can do it:

1. First, sign in to your Upwork account.
2. Next, click on the Settings icon located usually at the upper-right hand corner of your Upwork dashboard.
3. Under User Settings, select My Info.
4. Scroll down to the Profile Settings section.
5. In the Visibility section, you will find a dropdown menu with the options: public, Upwork only, private, and invisible.
6. Select Private or Invisible as per your necessity.
7. Click on the green Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to confirm your changes.

Your profile visibility should now be set to private or invisible, as per your preference.

Note:

Please keep in mind, if you set your profile to Invisible, only you will be able to see it, whereas if you set it to Private, only Upwork users (clients and freelancers) will be able to view your profile.
