Step-by-step Procedure

1. Install the Upwork Desktop App

2. Log into the Desktop App

Use your Upwork username and password to sign in.

3. Start the Time Tracker

  • Go to the My Jobs tab and then select the relevant project.
  • Write a brief descriptive memo in the blank field next to the play button. This memo should describe the task you are currently working on.
  • Once everything is set, press the Play button to start tracking your time.

4. Pause or stop the Time Tracker

  • Click Pause whenever you take a break or need to do work off-camera.
  • Press Stop when you’re finished with your task or done for the day.

5. Review your Work Diary

At the end of each work session, make sure to review your work diary. This shows your recorded working time and the work you have done.Remember, the Time Tracker only records during the times you have set it to record. It won’t detect activity if you haven’t started the timer.
