What are Connects?

Connects are virtual tokens that you use to submit proposals for jobs in Upwork. When you see a project you’re interested in, you submit a proposal to the client, and this costs you some connects.

How many Connects do I need to submit a proposal?

Usually, it takes 1 to 6 connects to send a proposal, depending on the size of the project. The cost in terms of connects is always listed on the job post, helping you decide if it’s worth the investment or not.

How do I get more Connects?

You receive a monthly allocation of connects based on your membership type. Free members usually receive a certain number of connects for no extra charge each month, whereas Plus members receive more. It’s also possible to purchase additional connects, if needed.
