Before making any decisions to cancel your Upwork account, you should consider all your options as this process is irreversible. Once done, all your data, client reviews, work history, and proposals will permanently be deleted. Therefore, be 100% certain before proceeding. If you’re sure, follow the steps below:

• Step one: Log in to your Upwork account.
• Step two: Once logged in, click the settings icon in the top right corner of your screen.
• Step three: From the dropdown menu, select ‘User Settings’.
• Step four: Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the section labeled ‘Close My Account’.
• Step five: Click ‘Close My Account’, then confirm any further prompts to finalize your decision.

Important Notes

• Please make sure you’ve completed all your pending transactions and withdraw any remaining funds from your account before cancellation.
