How to Leave a Review on Upwork
Given below are detailed instructions on how to leave feedback or a review on Upwork once a project is completed.
Step 1: Navigate to the Contract
Upon logging into your account, on the main dashboard:
- Click on the ‘Contracts’ tab.
- Identify and click on the contract you want to leave a review on.
Step 2: Leave Feedback
Once you have navigated to the specific contract:
- Click the ‘Give Feedback’ link on the contract page. This will only show up after the contract has ended.
- You will be directed to a page where you can give a star rating and also add any additional comments about your experience working on the contract.
- You will have a choice to keep your comments private (only visible to Upwork and the freelancer) or public visible to everyone).
Step 3: Submit Your Review
After you have filled out your feedback:
- Ensure you’re happy with what you have written and clicked ‘Preview’ to recheck your feedback.
- If you are satisfied with your feedback, click on ‘Submit’ to finalize your feedback. Please note that feedback cannot be changed once it is submitted.
Few things to note:
- Upon submitting your feedback, an email notification will be sent to the freelancer notifying them of the feedback left.
- Make sure to be honest and fair in your review as it helps build trust in the Upwork community.
- Try to provide specifics in your review. Instead of just saying ‘Great job!’, you could say ‘Delivered high-quality work on time and responded promptly to any revisions’.
