In Upwork, the payment for each milestone is subject to a standard five-day security period after your client has approved the milestone. This interval is called as ‘Review Period’. During this time, your client can request changes or dispute the milestone if the work isn’t up to their standards.

In this phase, your client has 14 days to review what you’ve submitted for a milestone. The client can ask for any needed corrections or changes. If the client doesn’t ask for changes within that period, the milestone will automatically be approved and the funds released to you.

Your Funds Availability

Five days from the time your client approves the milestone (including weekends), the payment will be available on your Upwork account. You can then withdraw or use these funds according to your preference.
