As a freelancer on Upwork, you’ll receive constant software updates to the platform. Unfortunately, Upwork does not number their software or program updates for general users. Therefore, it’s tough to specify the ‘number’ of the currently approved program update.

You don’t need to worry though, as Upwork is prompt in notifying its users about any updates or changes they implement.

Upwork typically communicates these changes via:

• Email notifications
• In-app or desktop notifications
• Updates in the ‘Announcement’ section of Upwork Community forums

How Can You Check The Current Version of Your Upwork Desktop App?

If you’re using the Upwork desktop app, you can easily find the version of the app in the ‘About’ section. Just click on the three-dotted menu icon in the top-left corner of the app, select ‘About’, and you’ll see the version number there.

Please note that the Upwork desktop app will always auto-update to the latest version as long as you’re connected to the internet. So, if your app is functioning well, it means you’re on the approved and updated version of the software.
